A method for recovering the rigid structure and three dimensional motion of an object by observing the velocity as well as the position of each point attached to the object in the image plane has been shown. The ''instantaneous rigidity condition'' is derived to deal with the velocity field. The assumption of a constant rotational velocity component enabled the solution to the recovery problem from as few as two observed points in three views or from three points in two views to be carried out. The recovery follows immediately after a set of linear equations is solved.
