Let AG be a finite solvable group with \(G\triangleleft AG\), \((| A|,| G|)=1\). Assume \(P\triangleleft AG\), \(P\subseteq G\), P an extra special p-group for some prime p, Z(P)\(\subseteq Z(AG)\) and let A faithfully act on P/Z(P). Further let M be a KAG-module such that Z(P) is not trivial on M; here K is an algebraically closed field of positive characteristic unequal to p. In several papers some conditions are stated to insure that \(M_ A\) contains a direct summand isomorphic to KA. [See \textit{Ph. Hall} and \textit{G. Higman}'s paper in Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 6, 1-42 (1956; Zbl 0073.255) where A is cyclic of prime power order; \textit{T. Berger}'s paper in ibid. 31, 21-54 (1975; Zbl 0332.20006) where A is nilpotent; \textit{A. Turull}'s paper in Math. Z. 183, 47-73 (1983; Zbl 0496.20016) where char K does not divide \(| A|\) and where A is also supersolvable.] In this paper the case A supersolvable together with char K divides \(| A|\) is analyzed. It is proved that, if A does not involve certain groups (notably wreath products and so-called norm groups) then \(M_ A\) contains a direct summand isomorphic to KA.
