Let \(\theta_ a\) be the operator in \(L^ 2(R^ n)\) defined as follows: \[ (\theta_ af)(x)=[f(x+a)-f(x-a)]. \] A measurable function k(x,y) is called an (SC)-kernel if for a.a. \(x\in R^ n\) we have \(k(x,\cdot)\in L^ 2(R^ n)\). A linear operator A, defined on the everywhere dense in \(L^ 2(R^ n)\) lineal \({\mathcal D}_ A\), is called an (SC)-operator if it can be written on \({\mathcal D}_ A\) as a kernel operator with some (SC)- kernel. The author investigates the question, when a given densely defined operator A has the kernel \(k(x-y)+h(x+y)\) with \(k,h\in L^ 2\). He gives several necessary and sufficient conditions for the general unbounded case (some of them without a priori assumption that A is an (SC)- operator). We shall formulate here only the corollary for the bounded case, i.e. a bounded (SC)-operator A has a kernel of type \(k(x- y)+h(x+y);\) \(k,h\in L^ 2\), if and only if it permutes with all \(\theta_ a\).
