Let \(\pi\) (G) denote the set of prime divisors of the orders of elements of a group G. A group G is said to be an \(F_ p\)-group where \(p\in \pi (G)\) if, for every finite subgroup H in G and for every elements a, b in \(T=N_ G(H)/H\) of order p, there exists an element \(c\in T\) such that \(gp(a,c^{-1}bc)\) is finite. A group G is said to be an \(F^*_ p\)- group if every subgroup of G is an \(F_ p\)-group. Finally, a group G is said to be an \(F^*\)-group if G is an \(F^*_ p\)-group for every \(p\in \pi (G)\). It is proved in this article that every periodic residually finite \(F^*_ p\)-group having some almost regular element of prime order p is locally finite and almost nilpotent with the nilpotency class bounded by some function f(p) depending on p only (Theorem 1). Let G be a periodic \(F^*_ p\)-group, and let the centralizer of some element of order p be an \(F^*\)-group with abelian subgroups of finite ranks. If G is residually finite-soluble then G is locally soluble (Theorem 2).
