[For part I ibid. 59, 446-448 (1983) see the preceding review.] A family of null-homotopic codimension two knots in \(S^ n\times S^{n+1}\) is constructed from two imbedded n-spheres which intersect transversely at one point, by plumbing together thickenings. It is pointed out that none of them are fibred, some of them are not local (i.e. contained in a ball) and some of the local ones are knotted. It is announced that any codimension two knot in \(S^ n\times S^ n\) is concordant to the trivial knot, if \(n\geq 3\). Thus no non-trivial element of \(\pi_{2n-2}(S^ n\times S^ n)\) is represented by an imbedded sphere; this is false when \(n=2\).
