The author shows that continuous dependence and uniqueness in finite elastostatics for an unbounded domain hold in a not necessarily convex class of functions and under relatively weak hypothesis on behaviour at infinity. The nonconvex hypothesis are similar to those introduced by \textit{Sh. Breuer} and \textit{M. Aron} [J. Elasticity 12, 161-166 (1982; Zbl 0497.73015)] for a bounded domain, while the proof is based on a weighted virtual work method due to \textit{S. Rionero} and \textit{G. P. Galdi} [Arch. Ration Mech. Anal., 69, 37-52 (1979; Zbl 0423.76027)].
