A nuclearity criterion for locally convex spaces having Schauder bases (Q1062239)

The purpose of this note is to give an alternative proof of a useful result on the characterization of nuclear spaces having equicontinuous Schauder bases, by making use of Kolmogorov's diameters. In particular, this result yields the well-known Grothendieck-Pietsch-Köthe criterion for the nuclearity of a Köthe sequence space. The main result may also be used to deduce the nuclearity of an arbitrary sequence space equipped with its normal topology.
