The following neuron model is considered: \[ x(t)=I[a(t)- \sum^{\infty}_{r=0}b(r)x(t-1-r)],\quad t=0,1,2,... \] where \(I[u]=0\) for \(u<0\) and \(=1\) for \(u\geq 0\). The following conditions are assumed: 1. \(a(t)=a_ i\), \(t\equiv i(mod m)\) (periodic input); 2. b(r) is defined in one of four special ways; 3. The initial data of x(t) for \(t<0\) is arbitrary. The sets of periodic responses of the neuron model are characterised. The concept of ''uniform string'' is introduced and mathematically described. It is shown that all periodic responses are uniform strings if b(r) has a concavely decreasing property.
