Products of irreducible matrices (Q1063658)

The author solves a problem in Boolean matrix theory stated by the reviewer by stating that the semigroup generated by all irreducible Boolean matrices is for n even all matrices with no zero rows or columns, and for n odd is all these except matrices which are the sum of an odd permutation and a matrix with at most one nonzero row or at most one nonzero column.
