The author provides a definition of superspace without reference to sheaf theory. He also discusses supergroups, supermanifolds, subsuperspaces. The new definition is based on taking points in the even and odd parts of Grassmann algebras, and relating them properly when a homomorphism between two algebras is given. After a natural reduction, this definition turns out to be equivalent to the one due to F. A. Berezin and D. A. Lejtes involving sheaf theory (cf. the article by \textit{A. A. Voronov} [ibid. 60, No.1, 43-48 (1984; Zbl 0569.58005)].
