Topological Frobenius groups (Q1065944)

Structure theorems are obtained for topologically locally finite, totally disconnected groups which possess a compact open unit neighbourhood invariant under all inner automorphisms. These generalize results of Kegel and Wehrfritz for locally finite Frobenius groups and of Gildenhuys, Herfort and Ribes for a class of profinite Frobenius groups. The arguments depend on two propositions in categorical language proved using techniques of non-standard analysis.
