Let \(\pi\) : \(M\to B\) be a \(C^{\infty}\) family of two-dimensional noncompact complex manifolds \(M_ t=\pi^{-1}(t)\) parametrized by \(t\in B\), the unit ball in \({\mathbb{R}}^ m\). Assume that \(M_ 0\) has been provided with a Kähler metric, and let \(X_ 0\) be a relatively compact domain with \(C^{\infty}\) boundary in \(M_ 0.\) The author proves that sufficiently small deformations \(X_ t\) (contained in \(M_ t\) and depending differentiably on t) of \(X_ 0\) can be equipped with Kähler metrics depending differentiably on t and coinciding on \(X_ 0\) with the given Kähler metric. The corresponding theorems in the compact case and in the one-dimensional case were already known. The author states that his method, which rests on the solvability of a parametrized \({\bar \partial}\)-Neumann problem, does not work in higher dimensions.
