The author uses a method proposed by \textit{V. K. Dzyadyk} [ibid. 37, No.2, 250-252 (1985)] in order to construct approximations for \(\log (1+x)\), \(e^ x\) and \((1+x)^{\alpha}\) in the class \(R_{n,1}\) of rational functions of order (n,1). The comparison with the norm of the best approximations of the respective functions in the class \(R_{n,1}\) is given.
