A new class of configuration-dependent convected derivatives has been introduced and it has been shown that such a derivative represents a generalization of combined Oldroyd covariant convected derivative and contravariant convected derivative. These generalized Oldroyd derivatives take into account flow hampering by particle interactions within the deformed polymer coil and network structures. The applicability of introduced derivatives has been considered in detail.
