A system formed by a rigid profile carrying an elastic rod, moving in an inviscid fluid in irrotational motion is considered, the forces exerted by the fluid on the rod being negligible. The equations of motion are written by means of the theorems of momentum and of the moment of momentum as well as the Hamilton-Ostrogradski principle. The first integrals are obtained.
