The linear field equations for some two-dimensional problems of thermoelasticity with two relaxation times [propossed by \textit{A. E. Green} and \textit{K. A. Lindsay}, J. Elasticity 2, 1-7 (1972)] are derived. This model allows for a finite speed of propagation of thermal signals. There are treated the plane state of stress, the plane state of strain and the antiplane motion. For the first one the questionable conclusion is made that the constitutive law does not contain the temperature field. For the second one two unqueness theorems are proved. No applications are given.
