Based on the linear isotropic thermoelastic theory the dynamic plate equations of the Uflyand-Mindlin type are derived. The inclusion of a relaxation time in the heat conduction equation leads to a finite thermal wave velocity. The temperature is approximated by a polynomial of third degree along the plate thickness. Two formulations are given for the initial-boundary value problem: Stress-temperature equations and displacement-temperature equations, respectively. For both of them the uniqueness of solutions is proved.
