The effect of thermal gradients in the axial and transverse directions on the large deformation bending behaviour of a beam with immoval pinned ends, is studied using the formulation suggested in \textit{A. C. Eringen's} article, Q. Appl. Math. 9, 361-369 (1952; Zbl 0046.180) and a simple iterative technique that yields exact numerical solutions. Numerical results are presented in tables.
