A survey of dimension theory. III (Q1069491)

This is a survey of developments in dimension theory, a continuation of two previous presentations of 1966 and 1970 [Part I, Proc. 2nd Prague Topol. Symp. 1966, 259--270 (1967; Zbl 0161.42405); Part II, Gen. Topol. Appl. 1, 65--77 (1971; Zbl 0212.27301)]. It deals with dimension theory in general spaces, i.e., there is no restriction to metric spaces. The topics surveyed include, 1. Product theorems, 2. Sum and subspace theorems, 3. Coincidence and embedding theorems, 4. Foundations, i.e., axiomatic characterization, 5. Characterizations, 6. Other aspects such as new examples of infinite dimensional spaces.
