Consider the problem \[ Lu+g(u)=\sum_{j}(\partial /\partial x_ j)(a_{ij}(\partial u/\partial x_ i))+g(u)=0\quad in\quad D \] u\(=\alpha\) on D (\(\alpha\) an unknown constant), \(| \int_{\partial D}(\partial u/\partial v)ds| \leq I\) \((0<I\), prescribed) where L is elliptic, \(\partial /\partial v\) is the conormal derivative on \(\partial D\), \(a_{ij}\in C^ 1(\bar D)\) and \(g\in C^ 0(D)\). The associate variational problem of (1) is: To minimize on \(K(I)=\{u\in H^ 1(D)\), u constant on \(\partial D\) and \(\int_{D}g(u(x))=I\}\) the functional \[ J(.,I)=\sum_{ij}\int_{D}a_{ij}(\partial u/\partial x_ i)(\partial u/\partial x_ j)dx-2\int_{D}G(u(x))dx+2u(\partial D)I, \] where \(G(t)=\int^{t}_{0}g(\tau)d\tau\), \(t\in R\). In this paper the author shows that if g verifies some suitable conditions the boundary values of solutions of the variational problem are unique for almost every I.
