Positive compact quasinilpotent operators (Q1071237)

It is shown that every positive compact quasinilpotent operator on a Banach lattice E with order continuous norm is the supremum of an increasing system of positive compact nilpotent operators. As a corollary, every positive compact quasinilpotent operator on a Banach lattice E with the norms in both E and in \(E^*\) order continuous is the norm limit of an increasing sequence of positive compact nilpotent operators.
