The paper gives a generalisation of the notion of linear topological space and the associated concepts for its development in the fuzzy setting. Introducing a fuzzy topological vector space whose topology is given by a fuzzy neighbourhood system, it is shown that a fuzzy linear neighbourhood system N is completely determined by the fuzzy filter N(O); the fuzzy filters on a vector space E which are of the form N(O) for some fuzzy linear system N are characterised. The concepts of convex and balanced fuzzy sets are introduced and are utilised for the development of the theory of linear fuzzy neighbourhood spaces. Subspaces and product linear fuzzy neighbourhood spaces are studied; n-bounded and totally n- bounded fuzzy sets have been so defined that totally n-bounded fuzzy sets are n-bounded; some results, concerning them are studied. As expected, a linear fuzzy neighbourhood space (E,N) is called locally n-convex if N has a base consisting of fuzzy convex sets. Finally, as in the classical case, it is shown that a linear fuzzy neighbourhood space is probabilistic normable iff it is Hausdorff and it has an n-bounded convex fuzzy neighbourhood of zero.
