Using a generalization to higher dimensions of a Lagrangian introduced by \textit{Yu. N. Kafiev} [Phys. Lett. B 96, 337-339 (1980)], the author constructs a classical soliton solution of the nonlinear complex Grassmann \(\sigma\)-model. He shows also that his solution represents a generator of the K-group of a sphere.
