Let S be a set, m, n be positive integers such that \(m<n\). Put \(I_ n=\{1,2,...,n\}\), \(X(m,n)=\{x_ m,x_{m+1},...,x_ n\}\), \(Y(m,n)=\{y_ m,y_{m+1},...,y_ n\}\), for \(x_ i,y_ i\in S\). Following \textit{L. M. Gluskin} [Mat. Sb., Nov. Ser. 68(110), 444-472 (1965; Zbl 0244.20092)] a set S with an n-ary (n\(\geq 2)\) operation is called a P-operative with the associated system of permutations \(\{\rho_ i\}^ n_ 1\) defined on the set \(I_{2n-1}\), if for all \(x_ i\in S\), \(k\in I_ n\) we have \[ [X(1,k-1)[X(k,k+n-1)]X(k+n,2n- 1)]=[[X(\rho_ k1,\rho_ kn)]X(\rho_ k(n+1),\rho_ k(2n- 1)]=[X(\rho_ k1,\rho_ k(2n-1)], \] where \(\rho_ 1=\epsilon\) is the identical permutation. Special cases of P-operatives are \(\Pi\)- operatives, associators, alternators. There are constructed P-operatives as derivatives of the binary operation given by the composition of transformations and described the structure of symmetric \(\Pi\)-operatives without and with a cross product.
