Let \(F_ n\) be a Finsler space and \(h_{\alpha \beta}\), \(M_{\alpha \beta}\) tensors of a hypersurface \(F_{n-1}\) of \(F_ n\) which are derived from the angular metric tensor \(h_{ij}\) and the torsion tensor \(C_{ijk}\) of \(F_ n\) in a ''natural'' way. The author considers hypersurfaces of \(F_ n\) for which \(M_{\alpha \beta}=\rho h_{\alpha \beta}\) where \(\rho\) is a scalar function. It is shown that a hypersurface of a c-reducible Finsler space has this property. Then he studies the heredity properties of some special Finsler spaces. If \(F_ n\) is an S3-like resp. an S4-like resp. a T-reducible Finsler space and \(F_{n-1}\) is a hypersurface satisfying \(M_{\alpha \beta}=\rho h_{\alpha \beta}\) then \(F_{n-1}\) is an S3-like resp. an S4-like resp. a T-reducible Finsler space. For a Landsberg space this statement holds true if the induced and intrinsic connection parameters of the hypersurface are identical.
