The author applies his previous results [see ibid. 86, 74-95 (1982; Zbl 0501.54003); see also the preceding review] on the special case of the fuzzy unit interval as introduced by \textit{B. Hutton} [ibid. 58, 559-571 (1977; Zbl 0358.54008)]. He gives a fuzzy pseudometric on the fuzzy unit interval, which generates the Hutton fuzzy topology. Further, he also proves an Urysohn-type metrization theorem.
