    The author considers an operator P with \(Pu=\square_ Mu+2<\log (\sigma (x^ 1)L(x)^{\lambda}),\nabla u>\) where \(\square_ M\) is wave operator corresponding to pseudo-Riemannian metric \(ds^ 2=2dx^ 1dx^ 2-\sum_{3\leq \alpha,\beta \leq n}a_{\alpha \beta}(x^ 1)dx^{\alpha}dx^{\beta}\), \(a_{\alpha \beta}\) is symmetric positive matrix, \(\sigma\) does not vanish \(L=L(x^ 3,...,x^ n)\) is non-trivial linear form and L is independent on \(x^ 1\) when considered as a vector field on \(M={\mathbb{R}}^ n\setminus Ker L\) by the natural identification of T(M) with \(T^*(M)\), \(\lambda\in {\mathbb{C}}\). He proves that Huygens' principle holds for P if and only if n is even and \(\lambda\) is an integer and \(-(n/2)+2\leq \lambda \leq (n/2)-1\).
