Boolean valued set theory, which has been applied successfully to independence problems of axiomatic set theory, is becoming a conceptually interesting and technically useful tool to various areas of modern mathematics. \textit{G. Takeuti} [J. Math. Soc. Japan 35, 1-21 (1983; Zbl 0503.46042)] and \textit{M. Ozawa} [J. Math. Soc. Japan 35, 609-627 (1983; Zbl 0526.46069)] have applied this new technique to some rudiments of Hilbert space theory and von Neumann algebras. This paper approaches the rudiments of decomposition theory of states over \(C^*\)-algebras by using this new technique. It is shown that every state is pure within an appropriately chosen Boolean valued universe.
