ANR-resolutions of single spaces are used by \textit{Yu. T. Lisitsa} and the author [Bull. Am. Math. Soc., New Ser. 9, 207-210 (1983; Zbl 0532.55003)] in constructing the Steenrod-Stinikov homology for arbitrary spaces. In order to prove the excision axiom for this homology theory several facts are needed concerning ANR-resolutions of triads. The principal result of the paper is Theorem 3 which asserts that every triad of topological spaces admits an ANR-resolution. Moreover, the ANR-resolution here constructed has some additional properties needed in establishing the excision axiom. See also the author and \textit{Yu. T. Lisitsa}, Glas. Mat., III. Ser. 20 (40), 159-186 (1985; see the following review); Topology Appl. 19, 29-43; 45-64 (1985; Zbl 0559.55008)].
