The author develops a Riemann-Stieltjes type integration theory for set- valued set functions \({\mathcal F}\to 2^{{\mathbb{R}}},\) where \({\mathcal F}\) is a ''field'' of sets, i.e. a collection of subsets of some set U such that \(A,B\in {\mathcal F}\) implies \(A\cup B\in {\mathcal F}\) and \(A\in {\mathcal F}\setminus \{U\}\) implies \(U\setminus A\in {\mathcal F}.\) Integrability (i.e. Riemann integrability) of a set function \(\alpha\) on a set \(V\in {\mathcal F}\) is defined in terms of partitions of V and selections of \(\alpha\), and summability (i.e. Riemann-Stieltjes integrability) of \(\alpha\) is defined with respect to a bounded finitely additive set function \({\mathcal F}\to {\mathbb{R}}.\) In this general setting the author proves, among other results, a dominated convergence theorem, a Fubini theorem, and a Radon-Nikodým theorem. The author writes that this paper ''is offered primarily as a Socratic method textbook on the theory of real number set-valued functions on fields of sets''. It therefore does not contain any proofs or references in the text. A short list of references given at the end of the paper is intended to permit the reader ''to observe the relation of certain results that we treat to classical theorems in the field''.
