    Let G be a locally compact group and let \(\Gamma\) be an increasing sequence \(\{e\}=G_ 0\subset G_ 1\subset...\subset G_{n+1}=G\) of closed normal subgroups, \(P=(p_ 0,...,p_ n)\), \(1\leq p_ i\leq \infty\). The norm \[ \| f\|_ P=(\int_{G/G_ n}...(\int_{G_ 2/G_ 1}(\int_{G_ 1}| f(x_ 0x_ 1...x_ n)/^{p_ 0} d\lambda_ 0(x_ n))^{p_ 1/p_ 0} d\lambda_ 1(x_{n- 1}))^{p_ 2/p_ 1}... d\quad \lambda_ n(x_ 0))^{1/p_ n} \] is defined, \(\lambda_ i\) is a fixed left invariant Haar measure on \(G_{i+1}/G_ i\). The space \(L_ P(\Gamma)\) of those f for which \(\| f\|_ P<\infty\) is regarded. The authors give without proofs the relations of \(L_ P(\Gamma)\) to analogues mixed-norm spaces, a version of the Hausdorff-Young theorem, and for abelian groups, defining the space \(L_{\hat P}({\hat \Gamma})\), they claim that the Fourier transformation is norm decreasing from \(L_ P(\Gamma)\) to \(L_{\hat P}({\hat \Gamma})\).
