Lyapunov exponents of a family of endomorphisms of a metrizable vector bundle (Q1076885)

For a system of linear ordinary differential equations the concepts of the exponent of a solution and the spectrum of the system were introduced by A. M. Lyapunov. Nowadays this theory has been generalized to abstract dynamic systems. The author published series of articles devoted to this generalization. Now in this paper he gives an excellent account of the elements of the modern theory of Lyapunov exponents at a level of generality that makes it possible to read the series mentioned. In the first part he introduces the notions of the abstract vector bundle, of the Riemannian metric on an abstract vector bundle, of the family of endomorphisms of an abstract vector bundle. The second part is devoted to the relations between the different kinds of the Lyapunov exponent of the family of endomorphisms.
