Let \(f:R^ n\to R\) be Lebesgue measurable and \(p:R^ n\to R^ d\) be measurable. We define \(F_ p(\zeta)=\int_{a}e^{i<p(x),\zeta >}f(x)dx\) where \(\zeta =(\zeta_ 1,\zeta_ 2,...,\zeta_ d)\in R^ d\), A is a rectangle contained in \(R^ n\) and \(<\cdot,\cdot >\) is the scalar product. If \(\mu\) denotes the signed measure on A given by f(x)dx, then \(F_ p\) can be interpreted as the Fourier transform of the signed measure \(\mu p^{-1}\) on \(R^ d\). The author derives a uniform estimate for \(F_ p\) of the form \(F_ p(\zeta)\leq K(\sum | \zeta_ i|)^{-\alpha}\) for some \(\alpha\) and \(\zeta\) with sufficiently large \(\sum | \zeta_ i|\), under supposition that the components of p are linearly independent polynomials.
