The author proves the existence of a 1-connected CW-complex X with cells in dimensions 0,2 and 4 only, such that \(H_*(\Omega X, {\mathbb{Z}})\) has p- torsion for every prime p. The description of \(H_*(\Omega X,k)\), for a commutative ring k is given by a well-known theorem of Adams and Hilton proved in the mid 1950's. The more recent ingredient is inspired by work of R. Fröberg et al. on Poincaré series of local rings in flat families. Similar results have been established by \textit{D. J. Anick} [Pac. J. Math. 123, 257-262 (1986; Zbl 0553.55005)].
