The methods of positive semigroup theory are used to investigate the asymptotic behavior of structured population dynamics. The models considered can describe biological situations as size-dependent cell growth, a type of reproduction which causes a decrease in weight, several populations subject to random catastrophes, the Holling's hungry mantid model and others.
