A function f is called crinkly on the interval D if it is continuous on D and on each open interval \(I\subseteq D\) it takes each value A such that \(\inf_{I}f<A<\sup_{I}f\) an uncountable number of times. The notion of a crinkly function was introduced by \textit{K. A. Bush} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 35, 559-562 (1971; Zbl 0228.26009)] and its existence was proved. In connection with this the question arises concerning the possible modulus of continuity of crinkly functions and the number of possible Dini derivates. This paper proves the existence of almost everywhere differentiable crinkly functions in the class Lip \(\alpha\) for \(\alpha <1\).
