Conditionally periodic motions in the attraction field of a rotating triaxial ellipsoid (Q1079032)

The author obtains conditionally periodic motions of a material point in the attraction field of a homogeneous triaxial ellipsoid when the average motion of the point and the angular velocity of the ellipsoid are strictly commensurable. In the first part of the paper he relates some results, already obtained in some previous papers [\textit{S. G. Zhuravlev}, ibid. 44, 387-394 (1980; Zbl 0479.70008); Celestial Mech. 19, 72-93 (1979; Zbl 0397.34050) and ibid. 25, 297-315 (1981; Zbl 0484.70015)], about the existence of steady- state motions. Then he obtains the generating function of a particular transformation similar to a Zeipel transformation. At this point the author is able to write conditionally periodic solutions in several systems of variables.
