The phase space for gauge field theories with a fixed structure group G over a fixed space time manifold M, called grand superspace, is constructed as the space of isomorphism classes of all connections on all principal fiber bundles (PFBs) over given M and G. The parametrization of a grand superspace for each M with a universal infinite-dimensional PFB and an irreducible universal connection is suitably constructed. The quotient space \({\mathcal S}\) of isomorphism classes of all connections on all G-PFBs over M is introduced in the space C of all connections on P(M,G), the right PFBs over M. It is shown that there exists a natural bijection between \({\mathcal S}\) and Hom(\({\mathcal S}_ x,G)/G\) which is chosen as a parameter space. The total space of the universal PFB, \({\mathcal U}x\), that is the holonomic equivalence classes of piecewise smooth curves originating at x and its universal connection \(\Gamma_{{\mathcal U}}\) are also defined. Various subspaces of grand superspace consisting of the isomorphism classes of flat connections and of Yang-Mills connections are discussed.
