Plane strain is assumed and incident plane waves are considered of P- and SV-type, respectively. Case of normal incidence was treated by the authors in J. Appl. Mech. 52, 33-41 (1985; Zbl 0587.73036). The incident time harmonic wave is split into symmetric and antisymmetric part with respect to the plane of the cracks, thus the four incident waves can be treated separately by considering the waves propagating in the unperturbed body superposed by the scattered field from the cracks. By definition of a reduced field, a single crack out of the periodic array is representative. Singular integral equations are set up for dislocation densities representing the crack in the continuum. Solution follows the method of \textit{F. Erdogan} and \textit{G. D. Gupta} [Quart. Appl. Math. 29, 525-534 (1972; Zbl 0236.65083)]. Frequency response functions of reflection coefficients \(R^ p_ p\), \(R^ p_ s\), \(R^ s_ s\) and for transmission in shear \(T^ s_ s\), of order zero, for three different angles of incidence are graphically presented. Solution strategy also improves that of the authors in J. Acoust. Soc. Amer. 75, 313-319 (1984; Zbl 0533.73025).
