Let \(G\) be a group having an Eilenberg-MacLane complex \(X\) with finite \(n\)-skeleton. In a previous paper [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 36, 123-137 (1985; Zbl 0577.20024)] the authors obtained, for \(k\leq n\), results relating \(H^ k(G,{\mathbb{Z}}G)\) and the homology inverse sequence of the end of the locally finite universal cover \(\tilde X^ n\), and the results were sharp for \(k<n\). In the present note these results are sharpened in the case \(k=n\). In particular, necessary and sufficient conditions are given for \(H^ n(G,{\mathbb{Z}}G)\) to be zero.
