    Let \(\Omega\) be a bounded domain in \(E_ 3\) with smooth boundary \(\partial \Omega\) and let \(T>0\) be fixed. We consider in \(\Omega\times [0,T]\) an initial-boundary value problem for the linearized Navier-Stokes equation: \[ D_ tv_{\nu}-\nu \Delta v_{\nu}+\nabla p_{\nu}=f,\quad div v_{\nu}=0, \] \[ v_{\nu}| _{t=0}=a,\quad v_{\nu}| _{\partial \Omega}=0,\quad \int _{\Omega}p_{\nu}(x,t)dx=0, \] where \(a(x)\), \(f(x,t)\) are given vector function and \(\nu\) is the so-called viscosity coefficient. Our result is now as follows. Theorem. Let \(f(x,t)\) be in \(L^ 2(\Omega \times (0,T))\). Assume that a and \(\nabla a\) are in \(L^ 2(\Omega)\) and div a\(=0\) and \(a| _{\partial \Omega}=0\). Let V be an arbitrary compact sub domain of \(\Omega\), then as \(\nu\) \(\to 0\) (1) \(v_{\nu}\) converges strongly to \(v_ 0\) in \(L^ 2(V\times (0,T)),\) (2) for any \(\alpha >0\) \(I^{\alpha}p_{\nu}\) converges strongly to \(I^{\alpha}p_ 0\) in \(L^ 2(V\times (0,T))\). Here \(I^{\alpha}p_{\nu}\) is a partial fractional integration \(I^{\alpha}p_{\nu}(x,t)=(1/\Gamma (\alpha))\int ^{t}_{0}(t- \tau)^{\alpha -1}p_{\nu}(x,\tau)d\tau\) \((\alpha >0)\) and \((v_ 0,p_ 0)\) satisfies the following system: \[ D_ tv_ 0+\nabla p_ 0=f,\quad div v_ 0=0,\quad v_ 0| _{t=0}=a. \]
