Let (G,X) consist of a group G operating on X, and for \(a\in X\) let \(G_ a\) be the stabilizer and \({\mathcal G}_ a\) the set of orbits of x under \(G_ a\) for all \(x\in X\setminus \{a\}\). If G operates transitively on X then \({\mathcal G}:=\{\{a\}\cup L\); \(L\in {\mathcal G}_ a\), \(a\in G\}\) defines a group space, namely a parallel structure with Euclidean parallel property [\textit{J. André}, Arch. Math. 25, 411-418 (1974; Zbl 0288.50019)]. The author defines the concept of generalized group spaces V(G,X) in which transitivity of the permutation group (G,X) is not supposed. The orbits of G in X are group spaces, and V(G,X) is a direct sum of group spaces. Theorem: The automorphism group of V(G,X) is the normalizer of all dilatations in the group of all permutations of X. It contains the normalizer of G. Further investigations concern with semidirect products G, especially in connection with metric vector spaces.
