The author proves that the Bergman projection of a smooth bounded pseudoconvex domain which possesses local transverse symmetries near its weakly pseudoconvex boundary points satisfies global regularity estimates. It follows that Sibony's example of a pseudoconvex domain where \({\bar \partial}\) fails to have bounded solutions satisfies condition R.
