A theoretical formulation for studying the scattering of Rayleigh waves due to the presence of rigid boundaries in oceanic waters has been presented in this paper. By using Wiener-Hopf technique, an exact solution is obtained in terms of Fourier integrals whose evaluation gives the reflected, transmitted and scattered waves.
