Let N(n) denote the maximum size of a set of pairwise orthogonal Latin squares of order n. The author proved that N(24)\(\geq 4\). This is an improvement compared with a previous result of Bose and Shrikhande who proved (among other results) that N(24)\(\geq 3\).
