On the Bäcklund transformations for the generalized hierarchies of compound MKdV-SG equations (Q1084264)

In a previous paper by \textit{H. S. Hu} and the author [ibid. 11, 325-335 (1986; Zbl 0605.35077)], a universal and explicit form of Bäcklund transformations for the generalized hierarchies of KdV equations was presented. In this paper, similar results for the generalized compound MKdV-SG equations are obtained. The paper is structured as follows: The generation of the generalized compound MKdV-SG equations is sketched in Section 2. The Bäcklund transformations are described in Section 3. Theorem of permutability and the nonlinear superposition formulas are proved in Section 4. The author finds that properties of the solitons are similar to the case of generalized KdV equations.
