A center-unstable manifold for \(C^ 1\)-flows is constructed. More specifically the existence of a center-unstable manifold is shown when the map in study is not of class \(C^{1/\alpha}\), for any \(0\leq \alpha \leq 1\), but can be approximated in a suitable sense by finite-dimensional maps of class \(C^{1,\alpha}\), for some \(\alpha\). The authors also give an application of such construction to Navier-Stokes flows.
