A well-known result due to Krein states that every Chebyshev space (T- space of real-valued functions defined on an open interval contains a one-codimensional T-subspace. The author [ibid. 23, 324-331 (1978; Zbl 0451.41020)] considered T-spaces on real sets containing at most one endpoint, and gave a sufficient and necessary condition for these T- spaces to contain one-codimensional T-subspaces. In the present paper the author discusses this property for T-spaces on real sets containing both endpoints. Using examples analogous to those used by \textit{R. Zielke} [Manuscr. Math. 17, 67-71 (1975; Zbl 0314.41023)] the author shows that for every \(n>2\) there exists an n-dimensional T-space on a closed interval that has no one-dimensional T-subspace.
