In this interesting paper, the author defines a singular-like homology and cohomology theory which agrees on simplicial complexes but does not agree on metric spaces with the usual theory. This new theory, A(X), is different from singular theory on the Barrat-Milnor examples [\textit{M. G. Barrat} and \textit{J. Milnor}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 13, 293-297 (1962; Zbl 0111.354)]. Let C(X) be the algebra of complex functions. Then every singular simplex \(\tau\) : \(\Delta\) \(q\to X\) induces an algebra homomorphism from C(X) to C(\(\Delta\) q). The set of these homomorphisms generates a subgroup of the space L(C(X),C(\(\Delta\) q)) over the integral. These subgroups can be made into a chain complex. This is not a free complex. The homology of this complex is A(X).
