The nonlinear static analysis of a sandwich plate using a quadratic isoparametric element having five degrees of freedom at each node is reported in this paper. The formulation includes the effects of large deformations and rotations besides stretching, bending and transverse shear. A number of geometric and material parameters for a three-layered sandwich configuration under different boundary conditions are considered for a detailed study.
